Guided Lithuanian Pirtis with Otis

The Piritis Ritual is a guided sauna journey rooted in centuries of tradition and built entirely around your body and breath. For one full hour, you'll surrender to warmth, scent and the gentle rhythm of fresh-cut branches, a practice that's as restorative as it is grounding.

Your host Otis opens the session by sharing his own story, the history of Piritis, and a walk-through of the ritual ahead, so you know exactly what to expect before the heat begins.

From there, the sauna does the rest. Bundles of oak, eucalyptus and birch release their aromas into the air as you move through gentle whisking, self-whisking and group whisking - a plant-based massage that draws out tension and floods your senses. A cool plunge and a bite of fresh fruit and orange break the heat, before a final warm-up, salt inhalations and a honey and salt scrub leave your skin polished and glowing.

The last fifteen minutes are yours. Free roam, settle in, and let the reset land.

The Ritual, Step by Step

Total experience: 1 hour — 45-minute guided ritual + 15 minutes free roam

Introduction · 5 min Otis shares his experience, the history of Piritis, and an overview of the ritual to come.

Session One · 25–30 min The heart of the ritual. A Piritis session featuring oak, eucalyptus and birch — beginning with an introduction to the benefits of each plant, then flowing through gentle whisking, self-whisking and group whisking.

Break · 5 min Plunge and cool down, with fresh fruit, oranges and nibbles to restore.

Session Two · 15 min A gentle warm-up whisking and salt inhalations, followed by a nourishing honey and salt scrub.

Free Roam · 15 min Open time in the sauna — yours to enjoy at your own pace.
